Arijit Singh announced to his audience that he would end his Bollywood playback singing because he wanted to concentrate on his original music and artistic creations. He told his fans about his upcoming musical work but he announced that he would not take on any new film acting assignments.
Arijit wrote on social media his emotional message:
“Hello, Happy New Year to all. I want to thank you all for giving me so much love all these years as listeners. I am happy to announce that I am not going to be taking any new assignments as a playback vocalist from now on. I am calling it off. It was a wonderful journey.”
According to reports about his decision-making process Arijit will complete his current work obligations before he starts pursuing new artistic opportunities. He explained that his repeated performance of the same arrangements became tedious for him and this led to his decision to stop performing.
