ARMY, get your light sticks ready. After three years and nine months of hiatus, the global icons BTS are officially returning to the stage as a full septet. In a massive announcement today, February 4, 2026, Netflix confirmed they will exclusively host “BTS THE COMEBACK LIVE | ARIRANG”—a global live-streaming event—on March 21.
The performance will take place at Seoul’s historic Gwanghwamun Square, marking the group’s first unit performance since completing their mandatory military service in 2025.
A New Era: ‘ARIRANG’
The live show serves as the grand unveiling for the group’s highly anticipated fifth studio album, ARIRANG, which is set for release on March 20, just one day before the Netflix event.
Fans can expect:
- First Live Performances: Debut stages for new tracks off the ARIRANG album.
- Iconic Venue: A stunning backdrop at the main gate of Gyeongbokgung Palace.
- World Tour Launch: Immediately following the broadcast, the group will embark on the ARIRANG World Tour, hitting 34 regions with a staggering 82 shows.
‘BTS: THE RETURN’ – The Definitive Documentary
To ensure the momentum doesn’t stop, Netflix will also premiere a feature-length documentary, “BTS: THE RETURN,” on March 27. Directed by acclaimed filmmaker Bao Nguyen (The Greatest Night in Pop), the film offers an intimate look at the group’s journey back to one another.
Produced by HYBE and This Machine, the documentary captures:
- The Reunion: Behind-the-scenes footage of RM, Jin, SUGA, j-hope, Jimin, V, and Jung Kook meeting in Los Angeles to create music after years apart.
- The Evolution: Deep reflections on how their time in the military and solo ventures have shaped their new identity as artists.
- The Process: A raw look at the doubts, laughter, and rediscovery involved in making the ARIRANG album.
