Bomb threats that used the words “Delhi will become Khalistan” caused several schools in Delhi to declare a state of emergency on Monday morning. The threats caused emergency agencies to respond immediately which resulted in increased security measures at various sites.
The Delhi Fire Service (DFS) reported that its first emergency call arrival occurred at 8:33 am. Firefighters, bomb disposal teams, and police units immediately deployed to investigate the schools to protect students and staff from danger.
Authorities implemented evacuation procedures at specific sites for safety reasons while they conducted searches to determine whether the threats were genuine. Although no explosives have been discovered yet, authorities maintain a high level of seriousness regarding the situation.
Police have started an investigation to find out who sent the messages and determine their identities. Cyber teams are currently investigating digital evidence that connects to the threats.
The incident occurs during a period of increased anxiety about fake bomb threats which target educational centers in large cities. This situation leads to academic interruptions and creates panic among both parents and school officials.
