Telangana’s Future Depends on Jubilee Hills, Says KCR

Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) president and former Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao on Thursday asserted that the future of Telangana rests in the hands of Jubilee Hills voters. He expressed confidence that the people of the prestigious constituency would reject the Congress nominee, whom he described as being from a “rowdy-sheeter family.”

Addressing a meeting of party in-charges at his farmhouse, KCR urged leaders to connect with voters and expose what he termed the “failures and financial mismanagement” under the Congress government. He directed the cadre to work strategically to ensure the victory of BRS candidate Maganti Sunitha, saying it was vital to restore Jubilee Hills’ reputation.

KCR accused the Congress government of deceiving the public and derailing the state’s progress. “The Congress has betrayed the people of Telangana. Now, they are testing the wisdom of Hyderabad’s voters by fielding a rowdy-sheeter candidate,” he remarked.

The BRS chief called on party workers to remind citizens of the development and welfare initiatives achieved during the party’s ten-year rule. “Tell people what BRS accomplished — and what Congress has undone,” he said, citing the discontinuation of the KCR Kit scheme for poor pregnant women, the sheep distribution program for the Yadav community, and the fishlings distribution initiative.

He said that despite challenges like demonetization and the COVID-19 pandemic, his government had kept Telangana’s economy on track. “We worked hard for 10 years and saved every rupee. But this Congress government has pushed the state to the brink of financial collapse,” KCR lamented.

Emphasizing unity and strategic campaigning, he instructed leaders to engage with the public at the division and cluster levels to understand their problems and earn their trust. “The people are angry at Congress’s betrayal. They’ve already indicated their support for BRS in Jubilee Hills. Now, it’s our duty to turn that support into a massive victory,” he said.

KCR concluded by stressing that a decisive BRS win in Jubilee Hills would symbolize a new beginning for Telangana. “Victory here will not just secure one constituency — it will secure Telangana’s future. Every leader must work with honesty, commitment, and purpose,” he said.
