Cyclone Montha to Bring Rain to Telangana from Tonight; Hyderabad Set for Cool, Cloudy Weather

Clouds gather over coastal Andhra Pradesh as IMD forecasts heavy rain and thunderstorms due to a Bay of Bengal low-pressure system.

Telangana is going to have a new, rainfall period because of the inland movement of Cyclone Montha, and the state will start to feel the cyclone’s effects from the midnight of October 27. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted that the whole state will witness light to moderate rain on October 28-29, with a change in weather conditions, becoming cooler and cloudier.

🌧️ Rains to Intensify Overnight

Most of the day is expected to remain dry; however, later tonight, rain activity is going to rise. Over Nalgonda, Suryapet, Khammam, Bhadradri-Kothagudem, Mahabubabad, Yadadri-Bhongir, and Nagarkurnool districts, the moderate to heavy rainfall is going to be taking place. Other regions of Telangana may have some light showers as the cyclone moves inward.

☁️ IMD Forecast for October 28–29

IMD has predicted that eastern and southern parts of Telangana will experience heavy downpour on October 28, which will eventually cover the neighboring areas. The state will be under the influence of the clouds, and as a result, daytime temperatures will be cooler than usual, thus giving a warm and pleasant environment all over.

🌦️ Hyderabad Weather: Cloudy, Cool, and Breezy

Hyderabad is very likely to get rainlight and moderate in the beginning and then extend to October 28 and 29. The total precipitation could be somewhere between 30 mm to 55 mm, and along with that, the city is thought to be staying overcast and windy. Heavy rains are not expected although sometimes residents might need to be ready for short and light rain.

People living in the city should take along the umbrellas and the light jackets because the showers and the cooler draughts are going to pass through the city in the next two days.
