Hyderabad Weather Alert: Heavy Rain Likely Across City Today — Commuters Advised to Stay Cautious

Heavy rain clouds loom over Hyderabad as the city braces for another wet day.

The Telangana State Development Planning Society (TSDPS) has issued a weather alert for Hyderabad indicating that moderate to heavy rainfall is likely to take place in the city today. The rain is expected to start from the northwestern and northeastern parts, gradually covering the entire city.

As per the latest forecast rain will first cover areas such as Qutbullapur, Kukatpally, Gajularamaram, Malkajgiri, Alwal, Kapra, and Serilingampally, and then spread towards the center and south of the city. It is recommended to commuters to be very careful with their travel plans because there might be waterlogging and traffic congestion in several low-lying areas.

The officials have requested the public to keep themselves indoors during the strong rains and to stay away from the areas that are flooded. There is going to be poor visibility during the heavy rains so the drivers should be especially careful and also be informed about the traffic situation through the updates.

Due to the cyclonic conditions over the Bay of Bengal, the city has experienced a series of rain events in the past few days which has resulted in cooler temperatures and widespread rains.
