AI Summit India 2026 Live: PM Narendra Modi Welcomes Global Leaders at Bharat Mandapam

India kicked off IAAC Summit 2026 at Bharat Mandapam on Monday where global political leaders, tech executives, and startups founders, apart from scholars, gathered to deliver the future landscape to artificial intelligence.

Considered as “an effort to bring the world together,” Prime Minister Narendra Modi extended a warm welcome, praising the arrival of representatives from across the continents and spelt out the Indian perspective which demanded an AI that was inclusive, responsible, and focused on concrete social participation.

The summit, the first major gates of AI from the South, has positioned India as a bridge between technological innovation and concrete global development.

Indian AI is just an amazing concentration

AI again is amplified in key points, appearing as follows:

Within the government’s IndiaAI mission, Rs 10,372 crore has been allocated to develop the ecosystem of artificial intelligence.

Key highlights of this alliance are as follows:

Lots are rented out, or GPUs and compute power will be aggregated for usage by a group in view of order.

A dozen indigenous models are to be constructed.

More than 30 proposeed AI applications repopularizing the plan

In the Department of Science, the education levels of support are lifted for Bachelor’s, Master’s and Doctoral levels in AI.

To further promote AI adoption, the officials indicated the need for creating trust and technology sovereignty while allowing for a smaller chasm between developed and developing nations.

Engaging the Global Audience

There are leaders from over 45 countries consulting the summit, which consists of:

Emmanuel Macron

Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva

Antonio Guterres

A big, supporting delegation from the United States is also here, along with executives from some top names in the industry, such as Microsoft, IBM, Zoom, Kyndryl, and Adobe.

The AI Impact Expo, covering 70,000 square meters, is showcasing AI-based solutions in agriculture, health, education, and public services.

PM Modi appeals for AI for all.

PM Modi spoke about the AI Summit theme: “Sarvajana Hitaya, Sarvajana Sukhaya” from India’s concern for human-centric AI.

“India currently stands at the centre of the AI innovation,” he said, accrediting the country’s digital public infrastructure, startup ecosystem, and research ecosystem to innovate at pace while sustaining responsibility.

Airports Put on Notice

If the CPMF and over 60 Commissioners of Police are any yardstick, the technical-power-packed first day of CPMF summons international security to the capital IGI airport. DIAL has alerted passengers they are likely to meet with congested traffic leading to ascertain delays on the approach roads. Passengers are recommended to organize their travels accordingly.

World Leaders of Tech Had Their Say

Bill Gates, the Gates Foundation’s founder, landed at Krishna Disrict in Andhra Pradesh, where he was formally welcomed by the state representatives at Gannavaram Airport.

In the same webinar, Eric Yuan, the founder, and CEO of Zoom, was of the view that trust and the ethical aspect are key to AI applications.

“In Zoom, our AI framework is built on a basic belief that technology must help connect people, invent and move forward in coherence, and AI innovation must respect security and human values,” said Yuan.

In another keynote address, Union Minister of State for Electronics and IT Jitin Prasada extolled India’s citizen-centric “Jan Bhagidari” approach, positioning people as active participants in AI transformation.

Towards Actionable Outcomes

As an essential part of the program, the

Delhi AI Impact Summit 2026 tries to derive actual deliverables from the thematic sessions and working groups – a common compute framework and an AI commons on the way for the public good.

In essence, the India AI Impact Summit 2026 seeks to rewrite global AI governance by ensuring that artificial intelligence enriches livelihoods, augments public systems, and prospers for all – not just the few.
