AP TET 2025 Exam on December 10: In-Service Teachers Must Appear, Guidelines Released

The Andhra Pradesh state government has published the notification for the Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) 2025, announcing the exam date as December 10, 2025, and the result date as January 19, 2026. Online application submissions will be open for the candidates’ convenience from October 24 to November 23, 2025, through the tet2dsc.apcfss.in website.

A TET official M. V. Krishna Reddy mentioned that the notification, syllabus, exam timeline, and candidates’ instructions are now available on the official site. For any clarifications, candidates can contact the helpline numbers given.

⚖️ Supreme Court Order: All Serviceable Teachers to Attend

In compliance with the Supreme Court verdict, it is compulsory for all government teachers who were hired prior to 2011 to take the TET exam. Teachers who have served for more than five years before their retirement will need to qualify TET, thereby keeping the Right to Education (RTE) Act in mind.

By Secretary Kona Shashidhar, the Andhra Pradesh School Education Department has provided in-service teachers with step-by-step instructions to follow.

Updated Qualification and Passing Marks

The passing marks for Paper-2A have been altered as follows:

Open Category (OC): 50%

Reserved categories (SC, ST, BC, Divyang): 45%

The test is out of 150 marks, and multiple-choice questions make up a total of 150.

Eligibility by Paper:

Paper-1A: Secondary Grade Teacher (SGT) vacancies

Paper-1B: Special SGT vacancies

Paper-2A: School Assistant (Classes 6-8) vacancies

Paper-2B: Special School Assistant vacancies

Qualification Criteria:

2011 onwards candidates:

OC: 50% in graduation

SC/ST/BC/Divyang: 45% in degree

2011 backward candidates:

OC: 45%

SC/ST/BC/Divyang: 40%

Integrated three years B. Ed or M. Ed:

OC: 55% in PG

Reserved categories: 50% in PG

Candidates who were admitted to B. Ed/Elementary Education programs before July 29, 2011, are not subjected to the minimum degree marks requirement.

TET qualifying marks:

OC: 60%

BC: 50%

SC/ST/Divyang/Ex-Servicemen: 40%

Language Choice:
In Paper-1A and 1B, candidates need to choose a first language (Telugu, Urdu, Hindi, Kannada, Tamil, or Odia) studied till Class 10, and English as the second language.
