Director Anil Ravipudi has finally revealed details about Megastar Chiranjeevi’s remuneration for the blockbuster Mana Shankara Varaprasad. The movie has become a huge hit at the box office, and it is said to have grossed about ₹120 crore worldwide within the first two days of release.

Even though it was produced in a limited budget, the involvement of celebrity actors like Chiranjeevi, Nayanthara, and Venkatesh caused a lot of gossip about their salaries being very high. Adding to the curiosity, the film is produced by Sahu Garapati along with Chiranjeevi’s daughter, Sushmita Konidela, which further raised questions about the Megastar’s fee.

Putting all rumors to rest, Anil Ravipudi clarified that he himself took only his fixed remuneration for the film and did not opt for any profit share. He also stated that Chiranjeevi accepted remuneration strictly based on the film’s budget, without demanding an excessive amount.

The director explained that Chiranjeevi was mindful of several factors—having two other star actors in the film and the fact that his daughter was one of the producers. With that balance in mind, the Megastar ensured that everyone benefited fairly. Anil Ravipudi added that Chiranjeevi’s remuneration was appropriate to his image, but adjusted sensibly for the project.

If an industry insider is to be believed, Chiranjeevi is said to charge something around ₹50 crore to ₹70 crore minimum for his films. However, for Mana Shankara Varaprasad, reports suggest that he reduced his fee considering Sushmita Konidela’s involvement as a producer.

Nayanthara, the actress who captivated the viewers with her portrayal of Shashirekha, was speculated to demand ₹15 crore at first. But the actress later on, according to reports, took the ₹6 crore.offer. While Venkatesh was rumored to have gotten ₹9 crores, it is said that director Anil Ravipudi took about ₹25 crores as his pay.
