Chowmahalla Palace Opens After Hours for Curated Royal Experiences

Chowmahalla Palace lit at night during The Chowmahalla Experiences, offering heritage tours, music, and royal dining.

The Chowmahalla Palace, which serves as Hyderabad’s most prominent historical site, has introduced its first ever nighttime program which showcases its cultural heritage through musical performances and exquisite dining options. The Chowmahalla Experiences nighttime guided tours which conclude with royal meals enable visitors to experience the palace’s nighttime splendor which is displayed through its 19 Belgian crystal chandeliers.

The TCE program, which began operations in November, follows the increasing demand for heritage dining experiences and experiential travel. Aamir Tameen, who serves as the TCE curator, describes the experience as something which extends beyond traditional dining experience. The guests of the palace experience an interactive heritage tour throughout the palace corridors and outdoor areas, where they discover architectural details together with royal traditions and hidden Nizami historical accounts.

The Chowmahalla Palace, built in 1751 by Nawab Salabat Jung and expanded by Nizam Ali Khan Asaf Jah II, holds numerous historical treasures, which include the Nizam’s personal Quran collection together with early 1900s vintage automobiles and royal clothing items and chandeliers that were brought from Turkey and Belgium and Venice.

The historic space creates a suitable atmosphere for the culinary presentation. The six-course dining experience at the restaurant includes traditional Nizami dishes which serve Zafrani biryani and Nizami handi and Shikampur gosht and dahi ke kebab and qubani ka meetha and Marag with sheermaal as their main dish. The restaurant provides two dining options which include vegetarian dishes and non-vegetarian dishes.

The heritage site needs detailed event organization work to maintain its historical value. The team needs to obtain special permissions and implement heritage-safe lighting and create classical music sound systems and hire trained personnel and establish preservation procedures to create a secure environment which provides guests with an uninterrupted experience.

The event tickets for The Chowmahalla Experiences show limited availability, which differs based on the specific event and food selection.Updates and bookings are available on Instagram: @thechowmahalla_experience.
