The officials stated that the liquor sales are already more than ₹5,000 crore, which is more than the figures of last year even before the New Year eve night was over.

The increase in sales is mainly due to the implementation of the new liquor policy by the government which has been a great success in terms of sales. The authorities are hopeful of the New Year’s Eve late-night shopping to push the figures even higher.
