Tirumala Sri Venkateswara Swamy Temple witnessed the Mukkoti Ekadashi or Vaikuntha Ekadashi celebration, which is a divine festival, in a very devoted manner. Following the ritual, the Vaikuntha Dwara (the northern gate) was opened at 1.30 a.m. on Tuesday as per the yearly norm and the devotees were permitted to have the most fortunate darshan of Lord Venkateswara.
On the very first day of the festival thousands of pilgrims flocked to Tirumala not later than 1 a.m. and lined up patiently near the Vaikuntha Dwara to get a glimpse of the special event that is considered to be one of the very important events of the Hindu calendar.
Along with others, very important persons were taking part in the festivities and giving their prayers at the temple. The Chief Minister of Telangana A. Revanth Reddy along with his family embarked on a trip to Tirumala and later were fortunate enough to have the Lord’s darshan. Celebrity Nara Rohit and his partner were also counted among the blessed.
All the important personalities like Union Minister Rammohan Naidu, State Minister Payyavula Keshav, and others went to the temple and celebrated Vaikuntha Ekadashi together.
The temple authorities showed great skill in managing the crowds and the controlled entrance of the devotees at the gates was done under the same high security and crowd management measures which were in place throughout the festival period.
