RCB First Team to Secure WPL-4 Final Spot with Dominant Win Over UP Warriors

Grace Harris and Smriti Mandhana celebrate RCB’s emphatic win over UP Warriors in WPL-4 league match.

Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) won their first tournament title by defeating UP Warriors which earned them a spot in the WPL-4 final. The team under Smriti Mandhana demonstrated a well-rounded performance through the exceptional play of Grace Harris and Nadine de Klerk.

Grace Harris Shines with All-Round Performance

Grace Harris achieved her exceptional victory through her complete all-round performance which resulted in her scoring 75 runs from 37 balls with 13 fours and 2 sixes. RCB successfully chased UP’s total of 143 runs because Harris and Mandhana who scored an unbeaten 54 reached their target in 13.1 overs while losing only two wickets. The Player of the Match award went to Harris because she performed exceptionally well in both batting and bowling.

Bowling Excellence Secures Victory

The RCB bowlers took full control of the match after they restricted the UP Warriors to a total of 143 runs which resulted in 8 lost wickets. The attack was led by Nadine de Klerk who took 4 wickets while giving up 22 runs and Grace Harris together with Lauren Bell provided essential wicket-taking support. The only effective resistance from UP came through Deepti Sharma who scored 55 runs because her teammates failed to build successful batting partnerships.

RCB’s Dominant Chase

Harris and Mandhana started their opening partnership with an offensive batting performance which produced runs at an extremely fast pace. RCB reached a score of 79 runs without losing any wickets by the end of the seventh over while Harris had already reached 64 runs. Mandhana led her team to victory after Harris got out during the 10th over. Georgia Woll scored 16 runs which helped secure the victory for her team.
