India Under-19 team has begun their ICC U19 World Cup 2026 final match against England with an excellent performance which Vaibhav Suryavanshi delivers through his batting display at Harare Sports Club.
India chose to bat first after winning the toss but they lost their first wicket when opener Aaron George got out during the fourth over. Suryavanshi and Ayush Mhatre established a partnership which allowed them to control the game as they built their partnership which helped them achieve their target.
Suryavanshi who is only 14 years old has been playing at an extremely aggressive level because he has been hitting numerous boundaries which brought him to 90 runs within a short time period. The right-hander reached his half-century after 32 balls and continued to hit sixes and fours which made England bowlers unable to defend against his powerful hits.
Suryavanshi achieved a record with his performance when he became the player who hit the most sixes during a single Under-19 World Cup tournament. His record now stands at 19 sixes which enables him to surpass the previous mark that Dewald Brevis established.
Ayush Mhatre has excelled at his role by using his batting skills to establish partnerships with teammates while he hits boundaries after England bowlers fail to deliver accurate throws. The duo has ensured India maintain a strong run rate as the final progresses.
India has kept their same team which reached the final match while England made one substitution to their starting lineup. England has not been able to stop India’s dominance even after they changed bowlers and held tactical discussions in the dugout.
