The film Jana Nayagan, the next project of Kollywood superstar Vijay, and the release date of which has been fixed as January 9, 2026, as a Sankranti gift, got the limelight with its wonderful audio launch in Malaysia. More than 85,000 fans from all corners came to the event, which was the biggest attendance ever for the audio launch of a Tamil film outside India. Such a great achievement has now got acknowledgment in the Malaysia Book of Records.
Vijay’s Emotional Moment
Vijay sobbed while he declared that he would soon depart from the Indian film industry on stage, professing thanks for his fans.
“A lot of fans and cinema-goers really enjoyed going to cinema halls just to see my movies. I am ready to be there for my supporters for the next 30 years. My exit from the film scene is basically a way of showing these fans my love.”

In the movie which would be directed by H. Vinod, Vijay would play the role of a policeman in Jana Nayagan. He is joined by Pooja Hegde as his lead lady, while Mamita Baiju, Priyamani, Bobby Deol, Prakash Raj, and others are in the major parts. Moreover, Vijay made the revelation during the audio launch when he grooved to his energetic numbers which not only thrilled the audience but also added to the film’s hype.
The unique occurrence has turned the film’s visibility for the public screening into a high and Jana Nayagan has thus been included in the list of the most awaited releases in Kollywood this year.
