The K-drama season of 2026 is gradually turning thrilling with the casting news as the giant broadcasters MBC unveil their upcoming drama projects. The top-notch actors and actresses namely Lee Min-ho, Han Hyo-joo, Moon Ga-young, Gong Myung, Gong Hyo-jin, Yoo Yeon-seok, and Seo Hyun-jin will be the main characters in new series tackling such themes as historical love, sports, mind-boggling thrillers, and even heart-pounding webtoon adaptations.


1. Scent of the Night

  • Stars: Lee Min-ho (Pachinko), Moon Ga-young (True Beauty)

  • Synopsis: The plot revolves around the Joseon dynasty and stars Seo Hong, a courageous woman who challenges the kings, and Seo Jae-ha, a poor boy who is later taken by the richest man in Hanyang (Seoul) and his social status is thus changed. Their love develops over the battlefield of two opposing classes.

  • Synopsis: The role of Han connects the character to the baseball universe through the lawyer-turned-agent method with Gong Myung who plays the role of a player who has been attempting to return to the field after a setback that ended his career prematurely.
