Lenskart IPO: Key Details

India’s leading eyewear retailer Lenskart Solutions Ltd has opened its Initial Public Offering (IPO) for subscription today, October 31. The issue will close on November 4, 2025.

  • Price Band: ₹382 – ₹402 per share
  • Lot Size: 37 shares per lot (for retail investors)
  • Issue Size: ₹7,278 crore (includes ₹2,150 crore fresh issue + offer for sale by existing shareholders)

The proceeds from the fresh issue will be used to expand Lenskart’s retail footprint, upgrade its supply chain and manufacturing units, and invest in technology and brand marketing.

About Lenskart: India’s Eyewear Revolution

Founded by Peyush Bansal, Lenskart has transformed India’s eyewear landscape with its omnichannel model — combining online sales with 2,500+ physical stores across India, the Middle East, and Southeast Asia.

The company designs, manufactures, and sells eyeglasses, sunglasses, contact lenses, and accessories, and remains India’s largest organized eyewear brand.

Lenskart IPO GMP Today

According to market trackers, the Grey Market Premium (GMP) for Lenskart IPO stands around ₹70 per share, suggesting a 17% potential listing gain at the upper price band of ₹402.

However, analysts caution that GMP figures are speculative and can fluctuate sharply with broader market movements and demand trends.

Financial Performance

Lenskart has reported robust financial growth in recent years:

  • FY25 Revenue: ₹6,652 crore
  • FY25 Net Profit: ₹297 crore

After several years of losses, the company has turned profitable, driven by efficiency gains, digital expansion, and growing sales in tier-2 and tier-3 cities.

Analyst Views: High Growth, High Valuation

While excitement around the IPO is strong, experts remain divided on valuation.

According to Swastika Investmart,

“Lenskart operates in a high-growth segment with strong brand equity, but the IPO is priced aggressively given its current earnings profile.”

ICICI Securities notes that Lenskart’s vertically integrated supply chain provides cost advantages but also creates potential dependency risks.

Overall, brokerages maintain a “Neutral to Cautious” stance, recommending participation only for long-term investors.

Should You Subscribe to the Lenskart IPO?

  • For short-term investors: The strong GMP indicates the potential for listing gains, though this depends on market sentiment during the issue period.
  • For long-term investors: Lenskart offers a compelling brand story, strong market leadership, and expansion potential, but at a premium valuation.

Pros: Market leader, scalable business, strong investor backing
⚠️ Cons: Expensive pricing, dependent on sustained growth

Verdict:
A high-quality company with premium pricing — ideal for long-term investors willing to hold through market cycles rather than short-term traders.
