Naidu Positions Andhra Pradesh as Tech and Green Energy Hub During UAE Investment Outreach

Naidu in UAE: Andhra Pradesh CM Pitches State as Tech and Green Energy Hub; Sharaf Group, Sobha Realty Pledge Major Investments

A three-day investment outreach has been inaugurated in the UAE (United Arab Emirates) by Nara Chandrababu Naidu, the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, to attract international investment, and to make the state a prime location for technology, green energy, and industrial infrastructure.

State’s participation in the CII Partnership Summit, taking place in Visakhapatnam on November 14-15, is the main reason for this visit where Andhra Pradesh is going to present its investment opportunities to global partners.

🌍 India-UAE Relations Take a New Turn

The International Airport of Dubai welcomed Nara Chandrababu Naidu who was receiving greetings from the Telugu community, among them were business and professional leaders. He had a conversation with A. Amarnath, Charge d’Affaires at the Indian Embassy and Satish Sivan, Consul General of India in Dubai, later to talk about the new trade and investment relationships.

Sivan pointed out that the trade between India and the UAE has gone up nearly by 50% in the last three years mainly due to diversification in the fields of technology, education, and renewable energy. Amarnath said that the UAE’s investment of USD 23 billion in India has brought back good returns and has expressed the intention of investing more in the fields of education, healthcare, food parks, and clean energy.

⚙️ Andhra Pradesh’s Vision for Growth

Nara Chandrababu Naidu talked about the state’s very favorable to investors policies and mentioned the great potential in AI, quantum technologies, green energy, and data centers. He pointed to Google’s coming AI data center in Visakhapatnam as a testimony to worldwide trust in the innovation ecosystem of Andhra Pradesh.

The Chief Minister also mentioned possible joint ventures in food processing, tourism, and real estate, which are in line with the state’s vision of sustainable growth.

🚢 Sharaf Group’s Logistics Expansion Target

Naidu shared with Sharafuddin Sharaf, Vice-Chairman of Sharaf Group that he was interested in the company making investments in the logistics and warehousing sectors. The group through its arm Hind Terminals Pvt. Ltd. is looking to build sophisticated logistics parks in Andhra Pradesh that would provide better cargo connectivity via rail and ports.

Naidu reiterated the state’s commitment to bring down logistics costs from 14 to 8-9 percent, and assured complete policy backing for the industrial sector to grow. He also invited the Sharaf Group to take part in the Investors’ Conference at Visakhapatnam.

🏗️ Sobha Realty Grants ₹100 Crore for Amaravati

In another meeting, Ravi Menon, Chairman of Sobha Realty Group announced an allocation of ₹100 crore for the construction of a world-class library in Amaravati. The group also made known that it is prepared to invest in real estate, hospitality, and tourism projects to uplift the state’s vision of the capital city.

Naidu was at his side Ministers B. C. Janardhana Reddy, T. G. Bharath, and high-ranking officials during the trip.
