Producer and director Homi Adajania was all for the magical storytelling and great performances that he considered were brimming with love and gore content. Bhardwaj was commendable for his direction; likewise, the leads were praised on all grounds of strength and energy.

The film was admired by Mira Rajput, wife of Shahid Kapoor. She credited Vishal Bhardwaj as a “master craftsman” for his background score and performance in the movie. She also fif that Triptii Dimri brought up characteristics of “passion and sweetness” in her scheming eyes, along with mentioning this as Shahid Kapoor’s “best as yet.”
