How to Play Connections

Connections, an everyday puzzle that is very liked by the New York Times, tests the capability of the participants to classify 16 different words into four categories of four words each. Every group has a common theme, but there are some words that are non-literal meanings which are intended to mislead. You have to discover all four groups without committing four mistakes, or the puzzle will automatically show the answer.

Each group has a color-coded difficulty:

  • Yellow: Easiest
  • Green: Easy
  • Blue: Medium
  • Purple: Hardest
