Ranveer Singh has delivered the biggest Indian blockbuster of 2025 with Dhurandhar, as the spy thriller continues its remarkable run at the global box office. Despite witnessing its first sub-₹20 crore day at the domestic box office on Monday, the film has officially overtaken Kantara Chapter 1 and Chhaava to become the highest-grossing Indian film of the year.
Strong Domestic Performance Despite Dip
On its third weekend, Dhurandhar collected an impressive ₹95 crore net in India, holding steady despite stiff competition from James Cameron’s Avatar: Fire and Ash. However, on Day 18, the film recorded its first major drop since release, earning ₹16 crore net—nearly a 60% decline. Even so, the figure remains strong by industry standards.
With this, Dhurandhar’s total domestic collection now stands at ₹571.75 crore net, translating to approximately ₹686 crore gross in India after 18 days.
Robust Overseas Earnings Push Global Total Higher
Internationally, the film continues to perform well, even as Avatar 3 dominates screens across global markets. By Day 18, Dhurandhar had amassed over $20.5 million overseas. This has taken its worldwide gross to an estimated ₹872 crore.
Trade analysts expect the film to cross the ₹915 crore worldwide lifetime collections of Animal and Secret Superstar within the next couple of days, which would place it among the top 10 highest-grossing Indian films of all time.
Becomes India’s Top-Grossing Film of 2025
On Monday, Dhurandhar surpassed the lifetime collections of Stree 2 (₹857 crore) and Kantara Chapter 1 (₹852 crore). The film had already crossed Chhaava’s ₹807 crore haul on Sunday. With these milestones, Dhurandhar has firmly claimed the top spot as India’s highest-grossing film of 2025.
The film is now eyeing the ₹900 crore and ₹1,000 crore milestones in the coming days.
