Job Fair in Secunderabad Railway Zone: Group-D Recruitment Open, 10th Pass Eligible

RRB announces Group-D vacancies across 16 railway zones; applications open for 10th pass and ITI candidates.

The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has published an official announcement to conduct recruitment for Group-D positions throughout 16 railway zones in India. Candidates who have passed Class 10 or hold an ITI certificate are eligible to apply. The online application process started on January 31 and will remain open until March 2 2026.

A total of 22,195 Group-D posts will be filled through this recruitment drive.

Vacancies in South Central Railway Zone (Secunderabad)

The South Central Railway Zone has announced vacancies across multiple categories, including:

  • Assistant Bridge – 01
  • Assistant Carriage & Wagon – 22
  • Assistant Operations – 10
  • Assistant TL & AC – 20
  • Assistant P.Way – 39
  • Track Maintainer-IV – 653
  • Assistant (S&T) – 75
  • Assistant Track Machine – 29
  • Pointsman-B – 128
  • Assistant TRD – 35

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must meet one of the following qualifications:

  • Passed 10th Class (Matriculation/SSC) from a recognized board, or
  • Possess an ITI certificate or National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) issued by NCVT

Candidates awaiting final exam results are not eligible. Those holding a Diploma or Degree in Engineering instead of ITI are also not eligible.

Age Limit

  • Minimum age: 18 years
  • Maximum age: 33 years

Age relaxation applies as follows:

  • OBC: 3 years
  • SC/ST: 5 years
  • PwBD: 10 years
  • Ex-Servicemen: 3 years (after deduction of military service)

Selection Process

Candidates will be selected through the following stages:

  1. Computer Based Test (CBT)
  2. Physical Efficiency Test (PET)
  3. Document Verification (DV)
  4. Medical Examination

Exam Pattern

The CBT will consist of 100 multiple-choice questions to be completed in 90 minutes. Each question carries one mark, with negative marking of 1/3rd mark for every wrong answer.

Subject-wise distribution:

  • General Science – 25 questions
  • Mathematics – 25 questions
  • General Intelligence & Reasoning – 30 questions
  • General Awareness & Current Affairs – 20 questions

The question paper will be available in 13 regional languages, along with English and Hindi.

Minimum Qualifying Marks

  • Unreserved / EWS: 40%
  • OBC / SC / ST: 30%
  • PwBD candidates: 2% relaxation
