Six Mobile Snatchers Arrested in Hyderabad; 42 Stolen Phones Worth Rs 9 Lakh Recovered

The Hyderabad City Police arrested six mobile snatchers in two operations and busted an inter-state loot network and recovered dozens of stolen electronics costing nearly 9 lakh rupees together.

The task force of the Mehdipatnam Police has cracked and arrested an interstate mobile snatch gang when four in the crime team making out 21 mobile phones worth almost 6 lakh rupees in the apprehension.

Two Arrested In Separate Operations

In a different operation, Hyderabad Commissioner’s Task Force (South West Zone) in tandem with Banjara Hills Police got hold of two serial offenders indulging in larceny by mobile and motorcycle.

Accused Syed Feroz Khan and Shaik Sameer, both from Nanded district in Maharashtra, habitually targeted security guards or cab drivers and lifted mobile phones while their victims were asleep. They were in their possession of as much as 21 mobile phones and a motorcycle estimated to be worth about Rs 3 lakh.

Both accused used to pilfer from the Nanded district by stealing a motorcycle and then used to commit steals throughout the limit of Hyderabad and Cyberabad Commissionerates.

Accused Sent To Judicial Custody, Inquiry Underway

Of all the six accused, the motive was cited to be financial distress, which was heavily associated with the crimes. All the accused have been remanded to judicial custody, and an inquiry is ongoing pertinent to more people involved and prospective receivers of the stolen property.

It was requested of citizens to be extra cautious for their own safety, particularly in crowded places: one should know that precaution is the foremost safety level of belongings during the night.
