TheBhopal case involves two minors who fatally attacked a Class 10 student through 27 knife stabs in a snooker club. Police reported that the attackers used their weapons to take revenge after their previous conflict.
Attack Caught on CCTV
The incident occurred on the night of February 15 at a club near Ganesh Chowk. The two teenage attackers through CCTV footage entered the club area to surround the victim before they started their fast coordinated attack with sharp weapons. The complete attack continued for 30 seconds before the suspects ran away from the location.
The video appeared on social media platforms after investigators discovered that the accused had posted it online which caused public outrage.
Victim Seriously Injured
The 16-year-old victim sustained severe injuries which included more than 10 deep cuts on one wrist. His other hand experienced two finger severances and shoulder and back injuries. The attacker wounded the teenager who escaped to a hospital where he now receives medical treatment.
Police reported that the victim lived in Gautam Nagar and frequently visited the snooker club.
Motive: Revenge After Dispute
The investigators found that the accused persons who also studied in Class 10 shared the same coaching center with their victim. A few days before the incident, a quarrel reportedly broke out during a pool game over dominance. Police believe that the victim slapped both boys during their fight which led to them attacking him in retaliation.
Legal Action and Public Concern
The police detained two minors who now face assault-related charges after they received their legal notices and then released them. Police officials said more serious charges could be added once the victim’s medical report confirms the full extent of the injuries.
The case demonstrates how personal conflicts between teenagers turned into dangerous street violence which now affects public safety.
