Telangana Government Releases ₹713 Crore to Clear Pending Employee Bills

Telangana Secretariat in Hyderabad as the state government clears ₹713 crore in pending bills for government employees.

In a major relief to government employees, the Telangana government has released ₹713 crore towards clearing long-pending employee bills across the state.

The funds were released following directions from Deputy Chief Minister and Finance Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, with finance department officials completing the clearance on Wednesday. The move is part of the government’s commitment to settle employee-related dues on a monthly basis.

The cleared bills include gratuity payments, General Provident Fund (GPF) part-final withdrawals, and surrender leave encashment. Officials pointed out that the government had previously disclosed that it would be disbursing approximately ₹700 crores monthly for pending salaries.

The government has not stopped at a one-off release of ₹183 crores at the end of June; it has been regularly setting aside a minimum of ₹700 crores every month since August. The trend of December’s ₹713 crores release is one of the continuing financial supports to the thousands of employees who are out of their dues.

The latest allocation reinforces the government’s focus on improving financial discipline and addressing long-standing employee concerns in a phased manner.
