This is a great day for aspiring teachers as the Teacher Eligibility Tests (TET-2026) were carried out all over the state today. It has been announced that online exams will run until January 20, 2026, which will be the last day for the tests.
Exam Guidelines and Instructions
It has been recommended by the authorities that the students come to their exam centers 90 minutes before the actual exam time. There will be no entry after the gates are closed, so being on time is really vital. The students must take:
- Hall ticket
- Original government-issued ID
In the examination hall, there will be no electronic gadgets such as mobile phones, smartwatches, and calculators. The candidates are required to verify the particulars on their hall ticket. If the photo or signature does not belong to the applicant, then the correct one must be pasted and a government officer’s signature obtained.
Additionally, it was stated that the applicants would be allowed to exit the examination hall only after the duration of the time scheduled for answering the questions had elapsed.
Participation and Centers
The overall number of students that have enrolled for the TET-2026 test for Paper-1 and Paper-2 is 237,754. Among this total, 71,670 are the already registered teachers who have chosen to participate according to the Supreme Court’s ruling declaring TET as compulsory across the country.
To guarantee the smooth and effective execution of the exams, the Education Department has established 97 testing centers in various parts of the state. The officials have assured that with the deployment of all necessary measures, there will be fair and peaceful testing conditions.
