Seamless Commutes: TGSRTC to Revamp First and Last-Mile Connectivity in Hyderabad

Hyderabad Transport Revamp: TGSRTC to Launch Feeder Buses and Integrate Metro-MMTS Links

The Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TGSRTC) introduced its full plan to establish first and last-mile connections which will most effectively modernize public transit systems throughout the capital city. The system will achieve its goal of building an integrated network through the establishment of synchronized bus services which will operate together with Metro Rail and MMTS systems.

TGSRTC intends to establish public transportation as the primary choice for daily travel of millions of Hyderabad residents through their solutions which address all “missing links” in the city.

Strengthening the MMTS-Bus Link
TGSRTC officials confirmed that the corporation will significantly enhance bus frequency at all 51 MMTS stations across the city. The plan includes:

Data-Driven Scheduling: The railway authorities will supply real-time passenger demand information which enables service level adjustments.

New Route Mapping: The corporation partners with GHMC to create new stop locations which will provide better access to station exits.

Infrastructure Upgrades: The GHMC has been requested to prioritize road widening and better lighting along key corridors connecting these transit hubs.

Innovative Feeder Services
TGSRTC plans to establish dedicated feeder services which will allow them to access more remote parts of residential neighborhoods and business areas. The small buses will operate in designated zones through private operators who will use GPS tracking systems to maintain their schedule.

The Vision for “One Ticket” Travel
The corporation aims to enhance passenger convenience through its development of technological and infrastructural solutions which will enable direct connections between different transportation modes:

Metro Integration: The redesign of bus stops which serve Metro stations will focus on decreasing overcrowding while enhancing pedestrian security.

Integrated Ticketing: The single ticket system which allows passengers to use all RTC buses Metro Rail services and MMTS transit remains under development with feasibility studies currently being examined.

Official Statement
The TGSRTC official explained that the system establishes a network which brings customers together through efficient transportation services which offer both convenience and efficient service. The corporation intends to decrease traffic problems which have emerged in the city through their plan to decrease private vehicle usage during the last portion of trips.
